About Taif University
Taif University traces its origins to 1400 AH (1979-80), when a teachers' college opened under King Abdulaziz University; it was folded into Umm Al-Qura University in 1402 AH and finally granted independent university status in 1424 AH, taking the name Taif University in 1425 AH. Its main campus is at Al-Hawiyah, north of Taif on the airport road, with branch campuses in the Turabah, Al-Khurmah and Ranyah governorates. The university spans medical, engineering, science, humanities, Sharia and business colleges, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, and Computers and Information Systems.
