What is the weighted ratio?
It is a composite score combining your high-school percentage, GAT (Qudurat) score and Achievement (Tahsili) score, each carrying a percentage weight set by the university. A common split is 30% high school, 30% GAT and 40% Achievement.
How does it differ from the equivalent ratio?
The weighted ratio gives each criterion a different weight per the university's formula, while the equivalent ratio combines them with roughly equal weighting. Universities use one or both depending on the track and the major.
Does the formula differ between majors at the same university?
Yes. Many universities publish one formula for the science track and another for the humanities track, and sometimes a third for engineering, computing or health colleges. Pick the formula matching your track.
