Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU) is a public university in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. It traces its origins to 1975, when it operated as part of King Faisal University, later becoming independent as the University of Dammam. It was renamed after Abdulrahman bin Faisal — the last ruler of the Second Saudi State and father of King Abdulaziz — during King Salman's visit to Dammam in November 2016. Its main campus sits on the coastal road between Dammam and Khobar, and it is among the oldest centres of medical education in the Eastern Province, alongside colleges of engineering, science, business and environmental design.
