About American University of Ras Al Khaimah
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is a non-profit, coeducational institution in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. It opened in 2009 under a decree by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and was licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education in August of that year. AURAK follows an American academic model and is organized into three schools: Business, Arts & Sciences, and Engineering & Computing. It holds institutional accreditation from SACSCOC in the United States, with several engineering programmes accredited by ABET, and its 1.3-million-square-foot campus hosts students of more than 45 nationalities.
