About Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST)
Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) is located in West Mishref, Kuwait, and was the country's first private university, established by Emiri Decree No. 156 of 2002 after a 1997 initiative by a Kuwaiti academic group of 41 Kuwait University faculty members. It comprises the College of Arts & Sciences — with departments of computer science, English, humanities and social sciences, mass communication and multimedia, and mathematics and natural sciences — and the College of Business Administration, offering accounting, business administration, economics and finance, management information systems, and an MBA. Its first commencement in June 2007 graduated roughly 400 students, and it runs a dual-enrolment partnership with the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
