Nissan unveiled its Pathfinder XE-V6 concept at the SEMA show, which specializes in automotive equipment, a design study that transforms the well-known family SUV into something resembling a monster prepped for adventures. The concept version is based on a 295-horsepower V6 engine, and adds a suspension lift system and off-road-specific tires, along with visual details that give it a more rugged presence than the standard model.
The Pathfinder's position in the Saudi market is relatively clear; it belongs to the mid-size three-row SUV category, and is viewed primarily as a comfortable family vehicle for daily use and long trips, not a direct competitor to hardcore off-road vehicles. Therefore, what Nissan is presenting here seems closer to a demonstration of the platform's latent potential than an announcement of a production model.
The lift and dedicated tires are the essence of the transformation in this version, as they raise the vehicle's ground clearance and improve its ability to overcome rough terrain, but on the other hand they change the vehicle's behavior on the highway. This is something worth noting, because any suspension lift or change in tire size usually affects stability, comfort and noise levels inside the cabin, and may affect the dealer's warranty if carried out outside its framework.
In the Saudi market, the Pathfinder competes with family options such as the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Explorer, Hyundai Palisade and Kia Tell
