Electric & Plug-in Cars in Saudi Arabia
Electric cars are arriving fast in Saudi Arabia, and the running-cost case is compelling: charging at home costs a fraction of petrol. This hub gathers every fully electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model we track, alongside a clear look at charging costs on the home and public tariffs and the current incentive picture. Browse the cars below, then use our cost-of-ownership and fuel tools to compare an EV against a petrol rival over five years. Charging prices are estimates from published tariffs and are labelled as such.

Charging cost & tariffs
Home charging on the SEC residential tariff is the cheapest way to fuel an EV in Saudi Arabia. Public DC fast charging is faster but costs more, and the exact per-kWh price is not officially published, so treat it as a range.
- Home charging (residential)
- 0.18 – 0.30 SAR / kWh
- Public DC fast (range)
- 0.99 – 1.50 SAR / kWh ~
Incentives & notes
The EV market in Saudi Arabia is growing quickly, backed by Vision 2030 targets and expanding charging networks in the major cities. Concrete consumer purchase incentives remain limited today; the strongest case for going electric is the low home-charging running cost. See our EV guides for the latest.
