The European Union called on the Houthi group to lift the siege imposed on the city of Taiz and allow the entry of food, medicine and fuel into it, in a move reflecting growing international concern over the humanitarian situation in the Yemeni city. The European Union Mission in Yemen said it is following the situation in Taiz with grave concern, stressing the need to remove all restrictions preventing basic supplies from reaching the population.
