About Taibah University

Taibah University is a public university in Medina, Saudi Arabia, established in 2003 by merging the Medina branches of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and King Abdulaziz University. Its name comes from Taibah, one of the traditional names for Medina. It opened with five schools — education, science, computer science, engineering and medicine — and was the first Saudi university to establish a standalone College of Computer Science and Engineering. It remains the only university in Medina with a college of medicine, and operates branch campuses across the surrounding governorates.
