About Majmaah University

Majmaah University is a Saudi public university founded on 24 August 2009 (3 Ramadan 1430 AH), headquartered in Al-Majma'ah Governorate in the Riyadh Region. Its colleges are spread across Al-Majma'ah, Az-Zulfi, Al-Ghat, Rumah and Hawtat Sudair, and cover medicine, dentistry, engineering, computer and information sciences, business administration, science, education, applied medical sciences and nursing. It was created as part of the Ministry of Education's expansion of university provision, to absorb secondary-school graduates from the governorates north of Riyadh and relieve pressure on universities in the larger cities. Admission runs on two published criteria: a composite ratio for health and science majors, and an equivalent ratio for humanities and theoretical majors.
