About King Saud University

King Saud University is a public university in Riyadh. It opened on 6 November 1957 (14 Rabi' II 1377 AH) by order of King Saud bin Abdulaziz to address the country's shortage of qualified professionals, and was the first university established in Saudi Arabia. Enrolment was about 61,412 students in 2022. Admission is decided by a single composite score combining the high-school GPA with the General Aptitude (Qudurat) and Achievement (Tahsili) test results.
