About Institute of Public Administration
The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) is an independent Saudi government body headquartered in Riyadh, created by royal decree on 24 Shawwal 1380 AH (10 April 1961). Its mandate is to train civil-service employees before and during service and to provide management consulting and administrative research to government agencies. It awards diplomas in administrative, legal, financial and computing fields, including a legal-studies programme that began in 1971. The institute operates branches across several regions of the Kingdom, including Dammam, Jeddah and Abha, along with separate women's branches.
