About University of Sharjah

The University of Sharjah was established in October 1997 by decree of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, and its main campus sits in University City in the emirate of Sharjah, UAE. Financially and administratively independent, it runs 14 colleges covering Sharia and Islamic studies, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, computing and informatics, law, fine arts and design, and business administration. Enrolment stood at 21,174 students in Fall 2025 — 17,309 undergraduates and 3,865 postgraduates.
