About Abu Dhabi University
Abu Dhabi University is a private Emirati university inaugurated on 25 June 2003 after three years of planning that began with a 2000 charter issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; it welcomed its first students that September. Its main campus is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, with additional campuses in Al Ain, Dubai (Dubai Knowledge Park) and Madinat Zayed. It delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on the American higher-education model through four colleges plus an English Language Institute. Its programmes hold international accreditations including AACSB for business (2015), ABET for engineering (2015), WASC (2016), EQUIS (2017) and RIBA for architecture (2018), alongside approval from the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation.
