Chinese automaker Geely Auto announced that its new hybrid model, the "Monjaro EM-i," will reach global markets starting from Egypt, where it is scheduled to be launched in late August, making the Egyptian market the first global destination for this model before it expands to other regions. This step comes within the brand's strategy to strengthen its presence in the hybrid car segment, with the selection of an Arab market as the initial launch platform.
The car belongs to the midsize SUV category, known as the D-SUV segment, and is Geely's first global hybrid model in this class. The Monjaro EM-i relies on the "EM-i Super Hybrid" system, which is based on the "GEA Evo" platform developed specifically for new energy vehicles, along with the "GEEA 3.0" electronic system that manages the car's functions and communication between its components. These technologies aim to achieve a balance between fuel efficiency and daily performance.
