Exclusive: Segway teases more electric bikes, including a street-legal next-gen Xyber

Segway will unveil two new electric bikes, including a street-legal next-generation Xy

Segway has confirmed plans to launch two new electric bicycle models, including a street-legal version of its popular Xyber platform. The company shared the upcoming additions with Electrek shortly after rolling out the Myon commuter e-bike and the MUXI cargo bike earlier this year, indicating a sustained push into the two-wheeled EV space.

The street-legal Xyber targets riders who want high performance without sacrificing road compliance. That puts it in a niche between powerful off-road e-bikes and conventional mopeds. In the Saudi market, likely rivals include electric two-wheelers from brands like Sur Ron and Macfox, as well as select models from NIU that straddle the line between bicycle and motorcycle.

Saudi buyers should keep an eye on local traffic regulations when considering the new Xyber. Its street-legal designation suggests it will meet speed and licensing requirements
