BYD is bringing a distinctive new off-roader to the United Kingdom next year, with the Ti 7 set to arrive in early 2026 at a starting price of around £48,000, which equates to roughly $64,700. That positioning undercuts the Land Rover Defender by the equivalent of about $22,000, while BYD pledges a higher level of standard equipment at the base level. The move signals the Chinese brand’s intent to challenge the established icons of the rough-and-tumble SUV world with a more affordable, tech-rich alternative.

For Saudi buyers, the Ti 7 is worth watching even though the UK launch comes first. The model sits squarely in a segment that is highly popular in the Kingdom, where customers gravitate toward rugged, boxy SUVs that can handle both city streets and desert terrain. Its most obvious rival in the Saudi market remains the Land Rover Defender, but it would also compete for attention with the likes of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 and the Jeep Wrangler, both of which have strong followings and proven off-road credentials.
