A Battery On Wheels Turns A Diesel Semi Electric Without Touching The Engine

A new system from a company called Revoy takes a conventional diesel semi truck and effectively turns it into a hybrid without opening the hood. The solution is a battery-powered dolly that attaches between the tractor and trailer. The dolly's electric motor assists the diesel engine while driving, and once the battery is depleted, the dolly can be swapped for a charged unit rather than waiting at a charging station.
