More than five years after the second-generation NX first arrived, Lexus has rolled out a thorough mid-life refresh for its popular compact SUV. The updated model brings sharper exterior styling, a redesigned cabin, and more advanced powertrains, signaling a clear shift in direction for the nameplate that anchors the brand’s volume sales.

The most notable change is the decision to make the NX hybrid-only, dropping traditional gasoline options in favor of electrified power across the lineup. Inside, the cabin draws clear inspiration from the larger ES sedan, featuring a new dashboard layout that prioritizes a cleaner, more driver-focused presentation with upgraded materials and digital displays. The overall effect is a more premium and cohesive interior than before, addressing one of the model’s previous weak points.
