About Riyadh College of Technology
Riyadh College of Technology is a government college under the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), opened in 1403 AH (1983 CE) as the first applied university-level college in Saudi Arabia. It was founded to train qualified technical personnel for engineering and technical fields serving the country's economic development plans. After several years running diploma programmes, a royal approval in 1409 AH upgraded it to award a four-year bachelor's degree in engineering technology with standing equivalent to the Kingdom's engineering colleges. Its departments span mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil and chemical technology, computing, administrative technology, telecommunications, tourism and hospitality, and food and environmental safety, alongside women's programmes in computing and IT, administrative technology, fashion design, food technology and hospitality.
