About Shaqra University
Shaqra University is a Saudi public university established by royal decree in 1430 AH (2009 CE) and supervised by the Ministry of Education. Its main campus is in Shaqra Governorate northwest of Riyadh, with colleges distributed across four governorates: Al-Dawadmi, Shaqra, Al-Quwaiiyah and Afif. It currently operates 14 colleges with roughly 1,255 faculty members, covering fields such as medicine, engineering, computing, business administration, education and science. It was created as part of Saudi Arabia's higher-education expansion to serve students in the governorates west and north of the Riyadh region.
