About VCUarts Qatar
VCUarts Qatar opened in 1998 as a branch of the School of the Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University, and was the first university campus to open in Qatar Foundation's Education City in Doha — later joined by Georgetown, Weill Cornell, Texas A&M, Carnegie Mellon and Northwestern. It awards BFA degrees in graphic design, interior design, painting and printmaking, and kinetic imaging, a BA in art history, and an MFA in design. Applicants must submit an art portfolio as part of admission. The school holds accreditation from the US National Association of Schools of Art and Design, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
