About Oryx Universal College (in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University)
Oryx Universal College is a private higher-education institution in Doha, Qatar, based in Fereej Al Soudan in Al Rayyan. It received preliminary approval from Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education in 2018 and was officially launched in January 2020 in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) of the UK, enrolling its first intake that year. Its provision is STEM-focused, with BSc (Hons) degrees in computer science, civil engineering, quantity surveying, mechanical engineering and software engineering, and MSc degrees in project management, cyber security, investment and finance, and leadership and management practice; graduates receive British awards issued by LJMU. In April 2025 the college became Oryx University and reorganised into four academic colleges.
