About Scientific College of Design
The Scientific College of Design is a private art and design higher-education institution in Muscat, Oman. Established by ministerial decree and regulated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, it began delivering academic programmes in October 2004 and is governed by a board of trustees. It awards bachelor's, master's and diploma qualifications in fields including digital graphic design, interior design, architecture, fine arts, photography, animation, fashion design and visual communication, and runs a dedicated graphic design track for hearing-impaired students. The college received institutional accreditation from the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance in July 2019, and several of its programmes hold program equivalency from the US National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). More than 3,000 students have graduated since its first cohort in 2008, and its student body comes from over 40 countries.
