About Modern College of Business and Science
The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) was founded in 1996 in Bawshar, Muscat, and is one of Oman's earliest private higher education institutions. It grew out of an initiative by Dr. Muneer Al Maskari, with Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said serving as its first chairman. The college runs more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes spanning business, economics, law, information technology and aviation, teaching about 3,100 students of 35 nationalities with roughly 110 faculty members. Its academic links include a franchised MBA with Franklin University in Ohio, alongside ASIC accreditation and PRME membership.
