About Naif Arab University for Security Sciences
Naif Arab University for Security Sciences is a Riyadh-based pan-Arab institution that serves as the scientific arm of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and holds diplomatic status. It traces its origin to a 1978 decision by the second conference of Arab interior ministers in Baghdad to create an Arab training institute; after several renamings it became the Naif Arab Academy for Security Sciences in 1997 and was elevated to university status in 2004, having begun academic activity in 1980. It specialises in higher education, research and training in security fields through its College of Criminal Justice and College of Crime Sciences, and holds memberships in international bodies including Interpol and UN criminal-justice networks.
