About Australian University (Australian College of Kuwait - ACK)
Australian University (AU) was founded in 2004 as the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK), among the first private higher-education institutions licensed in Kuwait, with its campus in West Mishref in the Mubarak Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber area. It was renamed Australian University under an Amiri Decree issued in January 2022. It offers diplomas and bachelor's degrees in engineering, business, aviation and maritime studies, and is the only institution in Kuwait with specialised maritime and aviation majors, supported by hands-on facilities including a Boeing 737-200 aircraft and a ship-handling simulator. It earned Engineers Australia accreditation in 2015 and ACBSP accreditation for its business programmes in 2018.
