About Rabdan Academy
Rabdan Academy was established in Abu Dhabi by Law No. 7 of 2013, issued by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is a government-owned higher education institution dedicated to the safety, security, defence, emergency preparedness and crisis management (SSDEC) sectors. Undergraduate programmes cover defence and security, homeland security, policing and security, and disaster management, while master's programmes include intelligence analysis, policing and security leadership, systems engineering for defence, and financial crime; a foundation programme and general education programme also run. The academy is accredited by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation, and in 2024 launched the Rabdan Security and Defence Institute as a specialised research centre.
