About Al Qasimia University
Al Qasimia University is an Arab-Islamic university in Sharjah's University City, created by Emiri Decree No. (2) of 2013 issued by the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi; teaching began in 2014. It runs colleges of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the Holy Quran, Arts and Humanities, Communication, and Economics and Administration, with separate buildings for male and female students, plus a graduate studies college and an Islamic manuscripts house. Admission policy prioritises international students from outside the UAE, most of whom study on scholarships, and the student body represents 96 nationalities. The campus covers roughly 978,000 square metres.
